I just wanted to share with you my first maths iPad app that has been in the app store for about a month now. I created Summed Up to help kids with their instant recall of basic addition facts.
I would love for you to check it out, provide feedback and share it with your learning network.

Look forward to hearing from you.

The state of Maine in the US is underway with a major mobile device rollout to students throughout the state. One of the things they decided upon is the applications to include on the devices. They have a cogent paradigm they based their application choice upon that can be extrapolated to app choice regardless of device. I do not know how to share the graphic with you, but if you are interested, you may email me at roger.henson@asd20.org and I will share it. One thing I have seen on this blog that makes sense is that it is not about the device, but rather is about the pedagogic paradigm shift that supports supporting learners. I have an interesting graphic for that as well. Be well, all the best Roger

    Hi Daniel,

At Memrise (www.memrise.com) we have been building a web-based learning community (now around 600,000 strong) for the last three years and we are now just starting to explore ways that we might be able to adapt it to the needs of the classroom. We have just released Android http://ow.ly/lcHVC and iOS apps http://ow.ly/ldL4J (smartphone, not tablet yet, tablet versions to come later this week), which I would love to hear your thoughts on, and more generally I would love to chat about your experiences use of tech in the classroom.

    Best wishes

    Hi Daniel,

I just wanted to drop a note to introduce a series of books for the iPad which might be of interest to parents who are homeschooling or want to spend more interactive time with their kids.

These books have a unique approach of giving kids the ability to experience things they might otherwise not have access to. These experiences are more “story telling” as opposed to textbook style learning. Each book also has a series of fun activities and a “Test your knowledge” section.

The books are available for the iPad on the iBooks store – https://itunes.apple.com/us/artist/learning-infinity/id687180351?mt=11

These books are part of our “Learning Infinity” series. We have several new books in the pipeline and the information on future releases will be available at http://learninginfinity.com

    Thanks and regards,
